Potato contains starch, a product that soothes the skin with emollient properties. Antioxidant presence in potatoes helps to remove stretch marks. The juice of potatoes is rich in vitamins and minerals. It promotes skin cell restouration and growth.
Cut thick slices of a potato of medium size. Take one of the slices of potatoes and rub gently for a few minutes on the stretch marks. Leave it at night.
Shea Butter Stretch Marks Remedy:
Hydrate, moisture and soften the skin with shea and coconut butter. Shea butter works to nourish the skin and reduce the appearance of stretch marks as an effective natural moisturizer. Massage the butter gently 2 – 3 times a day and hydrate the skin before going to bed.
Lemon Juice Stretch Marks Remedy:
Lemon juice is another simple stretch mark treatment. The acid in lemon juice contributes to the reduction of stretch marks and scars. Take some lemons from the juice. Massage it gently on the stretch marks in a circular motion. Use warm water to clean the affected area. Some lemon juice can also be mixed with cucumber juice. Apply this mix to the affected area directly.
Aloe Vera Stretch Marks Remedy:
Aloe Vera works like a charm to your skin- incredible things and is a great natural remedy for stretch marks. When broken off from the rest of the plant, the leaves secrete a clear gel that can be applied to heal wounds and it also contains plant collagen that helps to repair the skin tremendously. It is known for its natural properties of soothing and healing.
To improve the skin’s appearance and elasticity, apply a thick layer of aloe vera gel on stretch marks. Rinse the morning off.
Olive Oil Stretch Marks Remedy:
Olive oil contains antioxidants such as vitamin A and vitamin E. This vitamin helps neutralize the oxidizing effect of free radicals that damage collagen and is the main cause of wrinkles, fine lines and dry skin. Vitamin E reduces free radicals ‘ chain reaction. Vitamin A thickens and stimulates the dermis and naturally reduces wrinkles and fine lines, increasing blood flow to the skin’s surface.
Smooth massage of warm olive oil in the affected areas for a few 5 – 10 minutes and let it soak overnight. This is one of the most important stretch mark home remedies for improving circulation and helping to reduce stretch marks.
Salt, Honey and Glycerin Scrub:
It is possible to use a mixture of salt, honey and glycerin to make a body scrub that can help get rid of stretch marks. To make this natural body scrub, combine ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of glycerin in a small container and stir thoroughly. Apply this mixture onto your skin for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Dry your skin and apply your favorite moisturizer. Use this body scrub twice per day for maximum benefit.
Vitamin A Ointment and Vitamin E Oil
If applied on a regular basis, a vitamin A ointment and vitamin E oil mixture can help to get rid of stretch marks. Mix thoroughly 1 teaspoon of vitamin A ointment and 1 tablespoon of vitamin E oil. Massage this mixture onto the affected area of the skin and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse your skin afterwards with warm water apply your regular moisturizer.
