Acne begins by clogging the pores in your skin with oil and dead skin cells. Each pore is linked to a sebaceous gland producing an oily substance called sebum.

Extra sebum can plug pores, causing a bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes to grow. Some acne cases are more severe than others, but whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples are common symptoms. Acne can be found commonly on your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. This is because the skin of these areas has more oil glands.

Many factors, including genetics, diet, stress, hormone changes, and infections, contribute to the development of acne. Acne is one of the world’s most common skin conditions, affecting an estimated 85 percent of people at some point in their lives. Conventional acne treatments can be costly and often have unwanted side effects such as dryness, redness and irritation.

Also, popping pimples appears to be the fastest way to make our skin’s red spots disappear. But by doing this, your skin can be permanently damaged. You actually force the oil substance and dead skin cells deeper into the follicle when you squeeze a pimple. The extra pressure exerted will rupture the follicle wall and spill into the innermost part of our skin. This skin damage will result in tissue loss and ultimately acne scars

Acne is a troublesome skin condition that affects both teenagers and adults. But not all of us believe in expensive creams and cosmetics. If you are one of those people, and seek natural treatments to take care of your skin, you came to the right place.

So what causes acne? When you pores are clogged with oil and dead skin cells, germs and bacteria begin to grow and thrive, and this can cause a breakout. But, genetics, diet, stress, hormonal change and skin infections can also cause acne.
